YouTube custom URL Requirement :
Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet before changing your YouTube custom URL.
Your YouTube account needs to:
- Have at least 100 subscribers
- Be at least 30 days old
- Have an uploaded photo as a channel icon
- Have uploaded channel art (if you want to learn more about channel art, start with the perfect YouTube banner size)

How to change YouTube custom URL
- Meet eligibility requirements
- Sign in to YouTube
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner. Select Settings, then select Advanced Settings
- Under Channel Settings, click on the link “You’re eligible for a custom URL”
- In the Get a custom URL box, you’ll see URLs you can choose from. You may have to add letters or numbers to make it unique
- Check the box to agree to the Custom URL Terms of Use
- Click Change URL
- Click Confirm Choice
Customizing your YouTube URL is great for your brand because it gives your followers an easy link to remember. Before allowing you to go crazy with your URL, however, YouTube wants to make sure you have a brand.
Unlike when you change your Facebook username or change your Twitter handle, you can only change your YouTube URL once. Technically. But there is a way to change your YouTube custom URL again but I’ll get into it a little later.
Remember, once your new URL is approved, it cannot be tweaked at a later date. So make sure this is the YouTube URL you want before clicking Confirm choice.
You now have a new URL! If you navigate to your channel’s page, you’ll see the customized version gracing the top of the browser. This not only ties your brand nicely together, but makes it easy for both loyal and new followers to find and remember your page.
